Malaysia was formed in 1963 when the former British colonies of Singapore and the East Malaysian states of Sabah and Sarawak on the northern coast of Borneo joined the Federation. The population of Malaysia is approximately 25,274,133 . The population density of it is 83/sq km. It has a population growth rate of 1.742% . Most of Malaysia's people belong to Muslim and Buddhist religion. The official and most common language of those people is Malay. Malaysia, a middle-income country, has transformed itself since the 1970s from a producer of raw materials into an emerging multi-sector economy.
